Fourth Sunday after Epiphany - January 30, 2022
The purpose of the ministry of Jesus, unfolding during the Epiphany season, is forcefully expressed in these words: “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose” (Luke 4:43). Jesus preached the good news of the kingdom of God not only in His adopted hometown of Capernaum, where He was well known and comfortable, but also beyond familiar locations to Samaria and even as far the land of Tyre and Sidon. We are called to be those people who go beyond our comfort zones to share the Gospel news that we know and believe by the power of the Holy Spirit.
